Switzerland, September 2017 – Aventicum Real Estate, a real estate investment management boutique within Aventicum Capital Management, has successfully closed the fundraising of AQS Real Estate Partners Europe L.P. (the “Fund”), a fund focused on real estate investments in Europe.
The Fund held its final closing on July 10, 2017 (the “Final Closing Date”), securing close to EUR 350 million of capital commitments from a diverse base of investors. The Fund is focused on making real estate investments in select markets in Europe that offer significant opportunities for value enhancement or that are markedly mispriced, and that, through active asset management, are expected to generate for the Fund superior risk-adjusted returns, combining a balance between income yield and capital appreciation upon realisation.
On the Final Closing Date, more than 60% of the Fund’s capital commitments had already been committed to or invested in seven different investments across Europe, all of which are on track to generate the Fund’s targeted returns.
Shortly following the Final Closing Date, the Fund completed the sale of two of its existing investments, comprised of 20 residential properties and 975 apartment units located mainly in the Randstad area of the Netherlands.
